Our guest speaker was local BSU sports afficiando Tom Scott. His website bio states: " A 40-year veteran of Idaho broadcasting, Tom formed his own company at the start of the new century. After almost 14 years at KTVB as the top-billing electronic advertising executive in the state, Tom’s solid reputation in the industry set the table well for his success in the agency business. He is experienced in all facets of broadcasting, dating back to his first days as a radio and TV personality, and continuing with his ability to manage accounts with the integrity and reliability clients have come to expect.
Extensively involved in the community, Tom is a past president of the Boise Advertising Federation and has been the recipient of awards from the Idaho Press Club, Idaho State Broadcasters Association, Idaho Advertising Federation, and American Advertising Federation. He is a graduate of Boise State University with a BA in Communication."
Tom started covering BSU football in 1969 during the Tony Knapp era. Tom ran us through the history of BSU football and gave a thumbnail sketch of virtually every coach and team since the early seventies. His encyclopedic knowledge of BSU sports is unreal, and his presentation was excellent.
