Rod McDowell kicked off our March 13 meeting with the introduction of guests: Wes Flacker joined us and David Hawk had a boatload of guests including David Wilson, Pete Isaacson, Alexis Clark, Marle Barton and Zach Lifton. We also had some visiting Rotarians: Michelle Steele, Bruce Mills and Cliff Shoenack.

Jan Worthington led us in three cheers for Lynn Hood and her super successful Dixie Jazz and Crawfish Boil. Rod McDowell reminded the group that our Spring Fiesta is on April 27 at 5:30 at Crane Creek Country Club. We need forty bottles of good wine ($25++). Bring your donations to George Weissbeck.

Bob Rose gave a quick report on the PETS training that he attended along with Julie Taylor and Con Colby in Burley and Jan reminded us that she still has room for District Celebration attendees on May 17 and 18 in Boise. Andrea Thornton kicked off Happy Dollars: Julie Taylor was happy about getting to go back to Taiwan to visit her son. David Hawk was $10 happy because Dr. Wolverton adjusted David's German Shorthair's spine and another $10 happy because of the good time he had at the crawfish gig. Andrea Thornton was happy to be back from a eek spent in Arizona.

David Hawk introduced our guest speaker, Zach Lifton, PhD. Zach is a Georgia Tech grad and works for the Idaho Geological Survey. His presentation focused on geologic hazards in Idaho, including earthquakes and landslides. He had some fascinating pictures of recent hazard activities as well. Another great talk in our March geology lessons. Click on the blue "Click Me!" button at the top of the page for more information.
