Sergeant at Arms
Andrea Thornton recognized everyone with January birthdays by fining them $5 as per her Five Alive policy. She then went on a fining spree, nailing members for such egregious offences as having fruit instead of dessert, not owning an iPhone etc., etc. John Verity was happy to have a new Semilla Nueva Global Grant committee up and running with Erin Yturri and Dennis Hanrahan joining his committee. Dennis Hanrahan was happy to recommend The Gatekeepers as a good read and Mike Markley was happy that his son Jack is looking for an internship while he is home from Vienna. Pat Rice was happy that Steve Burch was elected to the Statehouse and that his wife's lost bracelet had been found. Sarah Wolverton was happy for Lynn Hood who is going to see Elton John. David Hawk was happy to have purchased twenty boxes of Girl Scout cookies and Bob Rose was happy to have celebrated his birthday with his family. Mowb Brown was happy to report that there was no line at the DMV in Idaho City, Julie Taylor was happy to be planning this year's trip to Taiwan and Andrea was happy about Erik Lund's condition after a round of chemotherapy. Mike Fease then conducted his game of skill and naturally there were no winners this week.

Celebrating our Club's Success
A Midterm Report
President Jan presented a terrific run down on our club's accomplishments over the past six months. She walked us through our performance against our goals in membership, Foundation giving, Polio Plus giving, service projects and volunteer service hours. She then recognized each of the Rotarians of the Month for the past six months. Terry Bowman then walked us through activities around the RI Foundation as well as the Boise Southwest Foundation. Jim Baldwin then expounded on the ins and outs of club administration. Our club is indeed a very active and dynamic organization!
