Rotary Club of Boise Southwest, Idaho

The Rotary Club of Boise Southwest annually partners with St Luke's Cancer Institute (formerly Mountain States Tumor Institute or MSTI) to adopt families for the holidays. This project is the longest standing service project in the club's history. In late December this past year, the club sponsored 18 families who were enduring cancer treatments. Each recipient received Christmas gifts, household sundries, and a holiday dinner box to provide some joy for the holidays. Several of the families selected were homeless as a result of the illness and related expenses. Rotarians, spouses and friends gathered at the Boise Centre to assemble the food and sundry boxes before heading out to deliver to the families. The project is a favorite for most of the members of the club.
