Rotary Club of Boise Southwest, Idaho

We welcomed Nancy Miller to Boise Southwest this month! Nancy is a retired Paraeducator with the Battle Ground School District in Battle Ground, Washington.  She loved working with students with special needs and watching how much they could learn and grow with the proper education.  Prior to this, Nancy was the Executive Director of Rocksolid Community Teen Center, an afterschool program for students in 5th - 12th grades.  Nancy was born in Battle Ground and lived most of her life there, but in June, moved to Meridian with her husband, Marty.  Their daughter, Sarah, attended school at Boise State and they always loved to visit her.  Once they decided to relocate, their son, Tim and his wife Missy decided they would like to live in the Boise area, as well.  Marty and Nancy are anxiously awaiting the arrive of their first grandchild any day now!

Nancy is no stranger to Rotary...she is a former member of the Lewis River Rotary in Battle Ground since 2010, where she served as President, Sergeant at Arms, Youth Services Chair and Auction Chair.  Her best Rotary experience was hosting a German Exchange student.  In September of 2023, Nancy and Marty will be traveling to Tanzania to work with The Red Sweater Project, a school run by a fellow Lewis River Rotarian.  Introduce yourself to Nancy at the next meeting and welcome her to our club!
